The Son Seeks – vs. 1-8
There were two things she did not know:
What the gift of God is?
Who Jesus is?
The Father Seeks
She switches the conversation to worship – (worship comes from worthship)
The Father seeks those to worship Him
Only the redeemed can worship God
Everything we do for God should come from our worship of God
A church service is not to be designed to attract the unsaved (worldly services)
Philippians 3:3 – we worship God in Spirit and have no confidence in the flesh
Music works on the emotions
The Spirit Seeks
The Holy Spirit lives within you when you get saved
The Spirit seeks to worship (exalt) Jesus
MUST worship in Spirit and Truth
3 Musts – John 3:7; John 3:14; John 4:24
Salvation is Christ revealing Himself to a person
This is the work of the Holy Spirit
Spirit worship verse Soul worship
We are made of spirit, soul and body (I Thessalonians 5:23)
