The Enemy Removed
Mordecai was set over the house of Haman, with all its riches, titles and lands
The Law Reversed
The law of the Medes and Persians could not be changed. Daniel 6:15
The Persian king was thought of as a god and a god’s laws could not be changed
So instead of replacing the law, a new law was enacted, that declared the Jews had all right and authority to destroy and spoil anyone that would have assaulted them.
The Jews Rejoiced
The Jews were glad and feasted from the good news
