Christ and His Co-Coworkers
Mark 16:15-20
Christ finished His course
Paul finished His course
We should desire to finish what God has given us to do
God has a work for everyone to do
We should all be busy trying to accomplish what God gave us to do.
They Worked
Not some of them, or part of them, but all of them. The whole crowd Jesus spoke to went out and worked.
They did not all have a church or a Sunday school class
Ephesians 4:11-12 Pastors perfect the Saints, so the saints can do the work of the ministry and go soul-winning
Their Work Was Aggressive
They went forth
Nobody has lived a good enough life where people ran you down and asked you how to give saved
If I was on trial, and you know I didn’t do it, but didn’t tell them anything it wouldn’t help me
If you love everyone, and kiss the judge
You don’t witness with your life; you witness with your lips. You back up your witness with your life
They didn’t gather the people, they scattered the people. We meet together to get charged to go back out there
The first word in the Great Commission is “go”. (vs. 15)
Their Work was Prompt
They went forth immediately after Jesus ascended up. They didn’t pray about going or talk about going. There was no time lapse.
They Served Their Master Obediently
God told them to go out and preach, and they went out and preached.
They didn’t substitute preaching for something else.
They Went Everywhere
Office, streets, shopping centers
They Didn’t Only Work, But the Lord Worked With Them
When you go, the Lord works with you
Sometimes the Lord will work before you, sometimes alongside you, sometimes after you.
