{"id":299,"date":"2016-02-07T21:57:51","date_gmt":"2016-02-07T21:57:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.brnsermons.com\/scottybackhaus\/?post_type=ctc_sermon&#038;p=299"},"modified":"2017-06-08T22:00:29","modified_gmt":"2017-06-08T22:00:29","slug":"17-true-worshippers","status":"publish","type":"ctc_sermon","link":"https:\/\/brnsermons.com\/scottybackhaus\/sermons\/17-true-worshippers\/","title":{"rendered":"17 True Worshippers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong><em>True Worshippers <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong><em>John 4<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Son Seeks \u2013 vs. 1-8<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There were two things she did not know:<\/p>\n<p>What the gift of God is?<\/p>\n<p>Who Jesus is?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Father Seeks<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>She switches the conversation to worship \u2013 (worship comes from worthship)<\/p>\n<p>The Father seeks those to worship Him<\/p>\n<p>Only the redeemed can worship God<\/p>\n<p>Everything we do for God should come from our worship of God<\/p>\n<p>A church service is not to be designed to attract the unsaved (worldly services)<\/p>\n<p>Philippians 3:3 \u2013 we worship God in Spirit and have no confidence in the flesh<\/p>\n<p>Music works on the emotions<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Spirit Seeks<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Holy Spirit lives within you when you get saved<\/p>\n<p>The Spirit seeks to worship (exalt) Jesus<\/p>\n<p>MUST worship in Spirit and Truth<\/p>\n<p>3 Musts \u2013 John 3:7; John 3:14; John 4:24<\/p>\n<p>Salvation is Christ revealing Himself to a person<\/p>\n<p>This is the work of the Holy Spirit<\/p>\n<p>Spirit worship verse Soul worship<\/p>\n<p>We are made of spirit, soul and body (I Thessalonians 5:23)<\/p>\n<p>Example of a true worship service \u2013 Revelation 5 \u2013 ALL EYES ARE ON THE LAMB!!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>True Worshippers John 4 The Son Seeks \u2013 vs. 1-8 There were two things she did not know: What the gift of God is?
