El De’ot, The God of Knowledge<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The God Who Knows Everything<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

1 Samuel 2<\/strong><\/p>\n

God\u2019s Omniscience <\/strong><\/p>\n

Omni \u201call\u201d science \u201cknowledge\u201d<\/p>\n

I Kings 8:39 \u2013 God knows all hearts<\/p>\n

Psalm 139:2 \u2013 God knows what we are thinking<\/p>\n

Isaiah 40:13-14 Nobody taught God<\/p>\n

Isaiah 42:9 We have proof by fulfilled prophecies<\/p>\n

Matthew 10:30 God knows the numbers of hairs<\/p>\n

Romans 11:33 \u2013 God\u2019s knowledge is unsearchable<\/p>\n

Hannah\u2019s Praise <\/strong>vs. 1-10<\/p>\n

Hannah was excited that God would answer her prayers!<\/p>\n

Eli\u2019s Sons and Samuel<\/strong> vs. 11-26<\/p>\n

The first description of Eli\u2019s sons was that they were sons of Belial or the Devil. They were not saved.<\/p>\n

Eli\u2019s sons oversaw the daily sacrifices. They began to pull their share before the Lord\u2019s and threatened and bullied people. It made it, so people hated to go to the Tabernacle and offer their sacrifices.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Samuel was a blessing to others, and his mother loved to see him. Because she gave her son to the Lord, God pleased her with other children.<\/p>\n

As Eli heard people complain about his children, he confronted them but did not discipline them.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

God\u2019s Message to Eli<\/strong> vs. 27-36<\/p>\n

God had enough and sent a man of God to confront Eli for not correcting his children. God made it clear that Eli honored his sons above God. Vs. 29.<\/p>\n

As punishment God will cut off the lineage of Eli from being high Priest. To confirm that this is true, both Eli\u2019s sons will die on the same day.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Our Reaction <\/strong><\/p>\n

Since God knows everything it brings us:<\/p>\n

Security<\/em> (vs. 1) \u2013 God saved us and keeps us saved even knowing what will do to fail Him<\/p>\n

Sensitivity<\/em> \u2013 Every warning from God is not because it might happen if we continue down our path, but that it will happen<\/p>\n

Solace<\/em> (vs. 2) \u2013 Our Rock, our stabilization, because since God knows everything, He knows how it will work out for our good<\/p>\n

Sobriety<\/em> (vs. 3) \u2013 We all must stand before an all-knowing God (Luke 12:1-3)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
