There was no opposition from the inhabitants of the land to the crossing of the Israelites. This allowed them to take time to prepare for the future victories by obeying God\u2019s plain commands.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Circumcision \u2013 Showing they Belonged to the Lord<\/strong> vs. 1-9<\/p>\n<p>Circumcision is a special medical procedure done to the males, to physically show they are the Lord\u2019s and separate unto Him.<\/p>\n<p>This was a physical sign that started with Abraham and his family. From this time on it was something for the descendants of Abraham to do to show they are physically separate unto the Lord.<\/p>\n<p>It had not been observed for 40 years, to allow those who were over 20 when they escaped Egypt to pass and a new generation prepared to follow the Lord and receive the victory God promised them.<\/p>\n<p>Before they can enjoy the promises of God, the males had to go through this procedure in obedience to His Word.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Passover<\/strong> <strong>\u2013 Showing They Trusted in the Blood<\/strong> vs. 10<\/p>\n<p>It was against the law to allow uncircumcised people to observe the Passover.<\/p>\n<p>The Passover was a special holiday\/meal that reminded the children of Israel that night when every first born was under the sentence of death, unless the blood was applied.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Corn \u2013 Showing the First Victories in their New Life<\/strong> vs. 11-12<\/p>\n<p>Most of the people now had been raised on manna. Some of them had never been exposed to different food. After the passover the manna ceased and the people now had to live off the fruits of the land. God provided corn that they didn\u2019t work for to enjoy. To feed all the people it required 1,500 tons or 150 box cars of food to feed them.
