The Lord Hath Rejected Thee
I Samuel 15:22-26
What Saul Was Provided By God I Samuel 10
God provides bread to eat vs. 4
God provides a band to worship God vs. 5
God provides the Spirit vs. 6
God provides people to follow Saul vs. 26
Initially Saul understands it came from God 11:12-13
His downfall comes from thinking it came from him
What Saul Tries to Provide Himself
13:1-4 Saul never corrects the saying; he took credit for someone else’s victory
13:7-11 The people were leaving Saul, so Saul acted to bring them back
14:24 He thinks the battle is about him
14:52 He is not satisfied with the people God gave him; He took any person he could find the might help him
15:1 God gave Saul another chance
15:24 Saul sinned, however, he had a reason
15:30 He didn’t care about the punishment; he didn’t want to look bad in front of others
If we do anything right or well it is from the Lord
Everything we do it is for God’s glory
One day we will give an account
Someday we will understand it is all about Him
Luke 17:10 We are unprofitable servants
