Salvation of Those on the Ship
At the beginning of the journey, no one heeded Paul’s warning
By the end of the trip, everyone was listening to Paul
Salvation of Those on the Island
Anyone who could not speak Greek was called Barbarians
These kind people built a fire for the shipwrecked 276
God allowed Paul to be bitten by a snake to prove to the people that God’s hand was upon them
Salvation of Those in Rome
There first stop on land was Puteoli, where the centurion had business to attend to.
For those seven days Paul was allowed to see other Christians
They came from all around which encouraged Paul
Paul then was able to reach many of the Jews that lived in Rome with the Gospel
Paul ended the meeting with the Jews by quoting Isaiah 6:9-10
Vs. 28 Now God will be concentrating on the Gentiles hearing the gospel instead of the Jews.
While waiting for trial, for two years Paul was able to rent a place under armed guards and was allowed to receive visitors and friends.
During this time Paul won members of the Roman Guard (Philippians 1:13-18), members of Caesar’s household (Philippians 4:22), a runaway slave from Colosse (Philemon)
