Apollos Mighty in the Scriptures
Acts 18:24-29
His Preaching
Eloquent man – “oratory, full of words; a learned man” He could express well what he believed and fully studied out
Instructed in the way of the Lord – there was a time when we were a learner
Fervent in the Spirit – enthusiasm & zeal
Taught diligently – careful and purposefully taught – II Timothy 2:15
His Perfecting
He was humble enough to allow two lay people to teach him
They expounded – “to make clear”.
They took what they taught and helped someone have a better understanding
His Publick Ministry in the Church
He went to Corinth and helped that church much
He proved what he believed from the scriptures
