Eglon the King of Moab vs. 12-14
Moab is on the south west of Israel.
He gathered together Ammon, the brother of Moab and Amalek, the first born from Esau. The ancient enemies joined together against Israel. First Elgon took Jericho to get a hold of land crossing the Jordan.
Ehud, the Left-Handed Deliverer vs. 15-25
Ehud was the from the tribe of Benjamin. Lefthand here comes from a phrase, “shut as to his right hand” meaning his right hand was withered and useless.
The word present carries the idea of admittance offering, or a bribe. He made his way to Eglon, feeding on his greed.
Moab Defeated vs. 26-30
Ehud escaped past the quarries or stone images.
