Joshua 23-24
The Message From Joshua Chap 23
Vs. 3 The Lord did the battling
Vs. 4 The land is divided
Vs. 5 God will continue to fight
Vs. 6 Our responsibility is to obey the Bible
Vs. 7 to be obedience to God, we must remain separate from the world, it will bring us away from the Lord.
Vs. 9-10 God plus one is a majority
Vs. 11-13 Love God and stay separate from the world.
Vs. 16 If we break the separation God’s blessing will be removed
The Message From the Lord vs. 1-13
Vs. 2 God recounts how Abraham’s father served other gods.
Vs. 3-8 God did a lot to deliver the children of Israel from Egypt.
Vs. 9-10 God wanted to bless His people
Vs. 11-13 God delivered the land to the Hebrews
The Decision of the People vs. 14-28
Now that God has done so much, the choice must be made: who do you serve.
Vs. 15 Joshua already chose.
Vs. 16-18 The people choose the Lord
Vs. 19-20 Joshua said you can’t keep this promise, don’t make it lightly.
Vs. 21 The people repeated their promise
Vs. 22-27 Joshua said your witnesses of each other, then wrote it in a book, then said its recorded, keep you promise.
