Joshua Moses’ Minister
Joshua 1:1-9
Joshua was known as Moses’ minster. The word minister means servant. There is a principle of teaching that a servant makes himself a servant to a man, and later he is used in special ways because of that obedience.
The Job of a Minister is to Obey

When Moses went to receive the instructions of God, Joshua waited with him on the mountain for 40 days. His job was to obey and wait.
The Biblical Minister is Separate from the Masses

When Moses was finished receiving the instructions for the Tabernacle, they both prepared to come down. As they came down they heard the music from the sin going on in the camp. Joshua was just as surprised as Moses at the sin of the camp. The servant is attached to the Leader, to gain his heart and his mind.
The Biblical Minister Learns from His Leader Walk with the Lord

While Moses is walking with God, and speaking to Him face to face as a man, Joshua was there watching that walk with the Lord.
