Human Penmen of the Word of God
II Peter 1:20-21
God used human pen men to record the word of God. Even though men were used as instruments, it was God that led them to pen the exact words He desired.
Holy Men of God
One of the reason Scriptures was so instantly accepted by Gods’ people was the fat that chosen men of God were the ones used by God to write it. Writings of unregenerate men would of not be considered of the time to read it.
God used close to 40 men over the span of 1200 years to record Scripture.
These men came from different backgrounds, some of their language was different as well as writing style. You cannot separate the man from the message. But they were specific instruments chosen by God.

How they Received the Material
Directly From God – 10 Commandments
Researched Material – Dr. Luke 1:1-4
Prophetic Material – ¼ of the Bible is prophesy. Only God could have given that information.
Historical Material – Eyewitness accounts
Other Material – Lies of Satan, other people’s conversations, people’s feelings. The content might not be correct, but they accurately recorded in what was said and expressed.
