The Old Testament leads to death; the New Testament gives life. The weakness of the law is not in the Lord but in us.
The Old Testament was a light compared to the dark newness of the heathen world; however, the New Testament shines bright like the sun drowning out the light of the Old Testament.
The Same Vail of Moses vs. 12-16
Moses put a vail over his face for the purpose that they would not see the glory fade away. The Jewish people have a veil over their minds and concerns with the Old Testament. They believe the Old Testament is their salvation and it is not.
The Spirit Changes Us To the Image of God vs. 17-18
The liberty that God gives us through his Holy Spirit is to change us like He is. The laws change behavior on the outside. The spirit changes the behavior from the inside
