Paul was being judged for having the same hope the people of the Old Testament had – the hope of the Saviour
The Hope of Eternal Life
Paul had rejected this truth and like the Jews of Paul’s day, did everything he could contrary to Jesus Christ
How He Came to Know the Lord vs. 12-18
Our hope is not in a religion, but a person
Jesus still wanted to use Paul
Paul was to become a minister, a messenger, and a mediator vs. 16
Paul was to go and reach the world with His message
How Jesus Sees Us:
Spiritually Blind
Satanically Bound
How God Saves Us
Freedom – open their eyes and turn
Forgiveness –
Fulfillment – Receive inheritance
Fellowship – among them which are sanctified
Focus – Faith that is in me (Jesus)
What His Life Was Like After Salvation vs. 19-23
I was not disobedient
Paul’s message was what Moses and the prophets had been telling Israel
The Old Testament told of how Christ should suffer and conquer death and be a light to the Gentiles
The Court’s Trial
Festus –Accepting not the Resurrection
Agrippa – Almost Persuaded but Lost
The Court’s Silent Vote
Each one of the court walked away, silently casting their vote against Jesus
