From Athens. This couple lived in one of the most wicked cities in the Roman Empire

They served the Lord together โ they are always listed together
They served where they were (vs. 3) โuse your โoccupationโ when looking for divine appointments
They supported Godโs man in his difficulty (vs. 12, 18) โ โwith himโ (strong families = strong churches)
They were in the synagogue to hear the Word of God โvs. 26 (vs. 4, 7 โthey had learned the importance of the Scriptures)
They took others and taught them what they had been taught โ vs. 24-28 (children, younger couples)
They helped the preacher (Romans 16:3, 4)
They involved their whole โhouseโ in the work of the local church (Romans 16:5; I Corinthians 16:19)
They tried to encourage others (I Corinthians 16:19 โ โsalute you much in the Lordโ)
They finished right โ II Timothy 4:19 (Contrast with Ananias and Sapphira)
